Half pendant designed in 1968. In response to the "Comfort Age" that dominated Denmark at the time, Bonderup and Thorup wanted to create a lamp that incorporated clear, clean lines and geometric shapes. The Semi Lamp seeks to combine clean lines and bold geometric shapes. Their design was submitted to a competition at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture and won first prize.
Semi pendant is a unique pendant light based on two quarter circles placed back to back. With its distinctive arched enamelled metal shade, lamp shape and unique, timeless design, the elegant Semi lamp was a huge success in the 1980s, becoming the best-selling Danish design of the time, achieving global recognition and iconic status. Its unique arched shade creates a diffuse cone of light, perfect for mounting on a dining table, home office or kitchen countertop. The Semi pendant light is extremely versatile and ideal for both private and public spaces.You can choose semi pendant 30cm or 47 cm according to the size of the space.
